Steve has been the Chief Business Development Executive since the inception of Concord, the world’s leading independent music company. As a key member of the leadership team that oversees Concord’s multi-billion-dollar M&A activity and business development initiatives, his efforts have focused on building significant long-term value for the company and its investors through the acquisition of publishing companies, record labels, publishing catalogs, master recording catalogs, key artist and songwriter deals, and theatrical/grand rights.
Mr. Salm has been with the Company and its investors since 2006. Prior to joining Concord and its prior affiliates, Salm was instrumental in helping to start a variety of businesses in the media, sports and entertainment space. He holds a BA in Economics and received a scholarship from Emory University for his MBA. His love of all things music and culture found him moonlighting as a local reporter for MTV while studying for his MBA.
